More About iKube's Black Box?
- How much will the iKube black box cost? The box's cost is £199 - this also covers the installation cost as well as an annual monitoring charge. However, we build this into the young drivers car insurance quote. Please visit the fees and charges page to find out more.
- The iKube box is a small hand sized unit and the installation is very quick.
- The black box uses GPS tracking technology that transmits a signal to advise iKube on whether the car is being driven during the red hours, between 11pm - 5am. Should you or any of the named drivers on your young drivers insurance policy driver during this period you will incur an additional £100 charge. This charge is not added to your premium and we will contact you to arrange payment.
- If you buy a new car, the vehicle must be made available for the iKube engineers to remove the box and install it in the new car. Please note - the iKube unit remains the property of iKube at all times and a transfer fee will apply.
