Magazine For Learner Drivers issued By DSA

A guidance booklet for new drivers is set to be issued by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA), along with every set of driving theory test results from the beginning of August 2012.
The booklet, produced in association with FirstCar Magazine, is called FirstCar Glove Box and is intended as a driving guide for learner driver insurance holders and includes guidance on how to stay safe on the road.
Commenting on the initiative, the founder of FirstCar, James Evans said:
"Young drivers are one of the most vulnerable road user groups, but they are also one of the most difficult to reach. By presenting helpful information and advice to them at the theory test stage, we hope readers will get more enjoyment out of learning to drive and develop a more positive attitude towards driving and road safety”
Approximately a quarter of a million learner drivers are expected to pass their theory test over the next 12 months with many to go on to the practical driving test shortly after.
