Advanced Motorists Are Safer Drivers

A recent study by Jean Hopkin Research Associates has revealed that 90% of advanced motorists are safer drivers.
The research showed that those who have undergone further driver training with the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM), 90% proved to be more conscious of other vehicles, road conditions and other dangers whilst driving.
The study showed that the vast majority of the 2,500 IAM members were more attentive to other road users and possible hazards. Of the drivers surveyed, almost 80% believe that they are skilful when handling a car.
A further 66% have claimed that their extra training has helped them to avoid accidents, reducing the likelihood of claiming on their young drivers' car insurance.
Commenting on the survey's results, IAM chief executive Simon Best stated:
"Young and inexperienced drivers in particular will benefit from further coaching, but more experience on the road doesn't mean that your attitude to driving is any healthier."
